Mind Tricks

Here's a few games I used to play with my employees at UPS. You see, they would tell me that they were looking at the address on every package. But yet, there were mistakes. So I would show them how their mind does things they may not be aware of-- which means that in every thing, at every time, in every situation, people have to pay attention and focus.

Maybe this can start your Monday on a good note....

People almost always say "Paris in the Spring." But if you read each word separately, you'll see that the word "the" is actually shown twice!

You should say, from left to right top to bottom, "Green, Yellow, Orange, Pink, Red, Black, Blue, Orange, Yellow." People often have a hard time separating the color of the letters and the words-- especially when the words themselves are colors. If you notice, you really have to focus to get it right.

Most people count 3 Fs. Thing is, you're looking for the sound an F makes-- the same sound as 'Ph' in 'Phillip', the 'F' sound from 'Focus'. But they tend to miss the word 'Of' because the sound of the 'F' in 'of' is more like the sound of a 'v'. There are 6 Fs in the sentence.

I hope y'all enjoyed that little game. Enjoy the rest of your week!
